Enjoy Life

Today I'm going to tell you about the new set Enjoy Life. I first heard about this set at OnStage Milwaukee, and I fell in love with the set and the story behind it immediately. The person who designed this set is from my home state, Wisconsin. At OnStage, she shared the story behind this set and how it came to be. It resonated with me, and I realized that stamping has always been more than just paper and glue. It creates connections between people. It is therapy. It commemorates good times and bad. This set was designed by Connie Fitzgerald and represents both of her incredible children. Through her speech, I could feel her passion towards creativity and her love for not just stamping but for people and for life. She is truly inspirational, and I hope I give Enjoy Life the justice it deserves. Here is what I created using Enjoy Life. I used Crumb Cake cardstock as the base and added a layer of the new color Mossy Meadow. Then I stamped the images from the set onto ...

Happy Birthday, You Sweet Thing

It's been busy around here! I've been wanting to start making videos for you all for a while now, and I JUST got all of the things I need for it! I have the best boyfriend ever who, when I told him I needed a new table for my stamping room, made me a custom one. Check it out! I'm so obsessed! Isn't it gorgeous?!? So I had to get to work right away to make my very first video with my new supplies! I chose the Piece of Cake Bundle from the Occasions Catalog to design this adorable card. Instead of thinlits, this bundle comes with a punch for the two-tiered cakes and the cake stand in the stamp set. Both of the images are cut out in one punch, and it's always tricky and frustrating for me trying to punch out all of the images in a punch and trying to get them to align properly. SO! I was sitting in my craft room the other night, and I thought up an easy way to fix that problem using the help of my Stamparatus (This thing is so handy- I should have got...

Forever Lovely Birthday

I know a lot of people who have February birthdays, so be prepared for lots of fun birthday cards over the next month! This is just the first of many! Don't get me wrong, I love prepping for my classes and creating cards that everybody is going to enjoy making and giving to the people they love. But sometimes I feel like I don't use half of my supplies because I can't use them all during my classes! I really enjoyed making this more intricate, super fun card for a person I know whose personality fits this card perfectly! Just full of light and beauty! I loved the feeling of making a card specifically for a special person in my life. Because I have like four shoe drawers full of cards, I always just end up picking one out when an occasion comes up. This year I want to make more personalized cards for the people I love! Here is the card! Isn't it so fun?? Here are some details of the card. I used some extra pieces I had from my Stamp Camp that was a week ago and...
