Current Favorites

It's been almost a month since I've made a blog post, so let me tell you about my new favorite color combo.

I have been using variations of this combination of colors in all of my projects for the last like week, and I didn't even notice it until now!

I also am still very obsessed with the Nature's Poem Suite as you can probably tell. The images and sentiments in the stamp set are versatile enough that I find I am using them on many of the cards I have made lately. I also went camping with my boyfriend the weekend after the 4th of July, so that inspired me as well. Nature is always my go-to source for inspiration!

The colors are:
Crumb Cake
Mint Macaron
Petal Pink
Grapefruit Grove

Here are all of the projects that I've made using these colors.

Grapefruit Grove and Crumb Cake

Petal pink, mint macaron, and some Nature's Poem DSP

I hope you've enjoyed checking out a few of my projects using some of my current favorite colors and go-to stamp set, Rooted in Nature! I will leave you with a few pictures from Joe's and my camping trip in Eau Claire!

Happy GALentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and my first ever Valentine's Day Stamp Camp is coming up this Friday! I'm so excited for my first stamp camp of the year. I can't wait to show you the rest of the cards we'll have made. I will be posting them after class! This is just a sneak peak. 😉 While it's fun to give your significant other a card and maybe a small gift for Valentine's Day, I also love celebrating friendships around this time of year. Valentine's Day is for celebrating everyone you love, so why not send a card to a friend???  This card was made using products from the All My Love Suite which is in the new Occasions Catalog and my NEW Stamparatus! I'm so happy I finally got one!  The flowers and foliage in this card are so much easier to stamp using the Stamparatus. Being able to have everything aligned so you know you will have a perfect product every time is simply amazing- especially for a perfectionist like me! He...

Happy Birthday, You Sweet Thing

It's been busy around here! I've been wanting to start making videos for you all for a while now, and I JUST got all of the things I need for it! I have the best boyfriend ever who, when I told him I needed a new table for my stamping room, made me a custom one. Check it out! I'm so obsessed! Isn't it gorgeous?!? So I had to get to work right away to make my very first video with my new supplies! I chose the Piece of Cake Bundle from the Occasions Catalog to design this adorable card. Instead of thinlits, this bundle comes with a punch for the two-tiered cakes and the cake stand in the stamp set. Both of the images are cut out in one punch, and it's always tricky and frustrating for me trying to punch out all of the images in a punch and trying to get them to align properly. SO! I was sitting in my craft room the other night, and I thought up an easy way to fix that problem using the help of my Stamparatus (This thing is so handy- I should have got...

Little Critters

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards that were inspired by my godson, Ethan's first birthday on Thursday! When I got the Animal Expedition stamp set, my very first thought was to make him a birthday card using these adorable animals! How perfect for a little guy's birthday?! These cards were SO much fun to make! I loved using my watercolor and blender pens to create unique looks for all of the critters and for the sentiment on the Wild About You card. I love the watercolored look, but I don't use it as much as I should! I combined elements of the Animal Expedition stamp set as well as the paper, stamps, and thinlits from the Nature's Poem Suite for both cards. They pair perfectly. The colors featured for these projects are Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron, and Tranquil Tide. I made this card first. I wanted to feature as many of the animals from the set as possible. The only one I left out was the rhino. Poor guy! He will have to have a special card made just...
